Delia Cason Goffigan of the 1300 block of Hawaiian Drive, died May 13, 1995.
Mrs. Goffigan was born in Princess Anne County and was the widow of Ellis H. Goffigan. She was a member of First Lynnhaven Baptist Church, founding member of the Pastor's Aid Club, Senior Usher Board and Utoka Hyte Missionary Circle. She was also a member of United Order of Tents Siloam (NU)106, Gardenia Social & Saving Club and Milldam Civic League.
Survivors include a son, Howard A. Goffigan Sr. of Virginia Beach; a sister, Ruby Grimstead of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in First Lynnhaven Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Edgar Williams Jr. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, is in charge.
