Lillie McArthur Smiley, 92, of the 3900 block of Llewellyn Ave., died May 14, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Smiley was born in Laurinburg, N.C., and was the widow of John H. Smiley. She was retired from the civil service. She was a member of Colonial Heights Church of Christ.
Survivors include one nephew and wife, Mr. and Mrs. William B. Kern of Norfolk, and one niece, Lauri A. Kern of Norfolk.
There will be a private burial in Durham, N.C., on Thursday, May 18, 1995. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
