Mildred Theresa Granby of the 2500 block of Rock Creek Drive died May 13, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Granby was born in Norfolk, Va., and was a retired beautician. She was the widow of James Granby and was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. She was a former member of Garretts Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Staten of Chesapeake; one sister, Margaret Cornelius; four grandchildren, Richard E. Granby, Adriane M. Granby, Richard Staten III, and Shannon D. Staten; four great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Geraldine Boyd; one son-in-law, Richard Staten Jr.; one brother-in-law, Joseph Roosevelt Hill; one sister-in-law, Gayle Bibbins; and a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday, May 17, 1995, at 1 p.m. by the Bishop Clarence V. Russell Jr. in Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home in charge. Friends may join the family at the residence.
