Stanley G. Chinn, 77, departed this life May 15, 1995.
A native of Raceland, Ky., he was a Baptist and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 40 years. He was a loyal lifelong member of the Portsmouth Moose Lodge (NU)898.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Erma L. Chinn; a daughter, Deborah C. Chinn; a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald A. and Sherry L. Chinn; and two granddaughters, Carla and Erica Chinn, all of Tidewater; a sister, Louise Ward of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. T.M. Frye. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and other times at 2538 Drum Creek Road, Chesapeake.
