Georgia N. Pennington, 81, of the 2300 block of Keller Ave., died May 12, 1995, in Camelot Nursing Home, Chesapeake.
She was born in Hertford, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Marie N. Young and the late Kenneth Newbold. She was the widow of James S. Pennington and a member of Queen Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Wilhelmena Hayes of Chesapeake; and first cousins, Dorothy Beck of Norfolk and Olivia White of Newark, N.J.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Queen Street Baptist Church, 413 E. Brambleton Ave., by the Rev. Howard Byrd Purvis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The processional to the church will leave from Hale Funeral Home at noon. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
