Two additional suspects were arrested last week as a result of separate narcotics investigations conducted by the Dare County Sheriff's Office and the State Bureau of Investigation. The investigations, which began last September, targeted street-level drug sales in Dare County. Nine suspects have been arrested so far.
Avon resident Alicia Gray, 27, was arrested Thursday. She is charged with one count of possession of cocaine with the intent to sell and deliver, and one count of the sale and delivery of cocaine. Gray, who already was under bond for other charges, was released on a written promise to appear. She is awaiting trial in Dare County Superior Court.
On Friday, Manteo resident Dion Daniels, 21, was arrested and charged with two counts of the possession of crack cocaine with the intent to sell and deliver, and two counts of the sale and delivery of cocaine. Daniels is in custody in the Dare County jail under a $12,000 bond. He is awaiting trial in Dare County Superior Court.
Dare County Sheriff A.L. ``Bert'' Austin said more arrests will be made soon as a result of these investigations.
