Postseason play begins today for the Eastern, Beach, Southeastern and Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools.

In the Beach District soccer, the top-seeded Cox (12-2-2, 9-0-0) girls will meet First Colonial (8-5-0, 6-2-0) today at 5:15 p.m. at Ocean Lakes, followed by the boysmatchup between top-seeded First Colonial (11-1-2, 8-0-1) and Tallwood (11-4-0, 6-3-0).

Wednesday, the Salem (7-6-0, 6-2-0) girls will square off against Kempsville (9-3-1, 6-2-1) at 5:15 p.m. at Ocean Lakes. The Salem (12-3-1, 7-1-1) and Cox (9-2-3, 5-2-2) boys follow. Both finals will be held Friday at Ocean Lakes, with the girls beginning at 5:15 p.m.

In Southeastern District soccer, the Western Branch (9-2-2, 4-1-0) girls will travel to Oscar Smith (8-4-2, 3-2-1) at 5:30 and the top-seeded Great Bridge (11-1-1, 6-0-0) boys will meet Western Branch (5-4-0, 3-3-0) at Oscar Smith at 7:30 p.m. In other games today, the Indian River (4-4-1, 1-3-0) girls will host top-seeded Great Bridge (8-8-0, 6-0-0), which hasn't given up a goal in district play. Deep Creek (9-5-1, 5-1-0) will face Churchland (5-6-0, 3-3-0).

The finals will be held at Oscar Smith Thursday with the girls match beginning at 5:30 p.m.

In Eastern District boys and girls soccer, a berth in the region tournament is on the line as the regular season champion has a bye. At 3:30 p.m., the Booker T. Washington (3-11-1, 1-7-0) girls will meet Granby (8-2-2, 6-2-0) at Suburban Park Elementary School.

The Maury (10-3-2, 6-1-1) boys will host Booker T. Washington (11-1-0, 7-1-0) at Ghent Field at 3:30 p.m. The Lake Taylor (4-9-1, 3-5-0) girls and boys will host Norview (4-7-0, 2-6-0), with the girls game beginning at 3:30 and the boys following. The finals will be held Thursday, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the site of the remaining higher seed.

In TCIS baseball quarterfinal action beginning at 4:30 p.m., Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (8-1) will play Norfolk Collegiate (2-7), Norfolk Christian (6-3) will travel to Norfolk Academy (6-3), Greenbrier Christian (7-2) will host Cape Henry (4-5) and Hampton Roads Academy will travel to Catholic (8-1). The semifinals will be held on Thursday at 5 and 7 p.m. at Old Dominion, with the championship game Friday at 7:30 p.m. at ODU.
