Conway N. Fair, 55, of 10180 N. Reece Road, Piqua, died on Monday May 15, 1995, at 12:30 p.m. in his residence. He was born in Piqua on Dec. 1, 1939, to the late Carl E. and Rosella K. Beaver Fair. On Dec. 5, 1958, he married the former Lois J. Schaffer who survives.
Other survivors include a son, Kermit S. Fair of Piqua; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Kimberly) Long of Pleasant Plain, Ohio, Mrs. David (Kristina) Yearsley of Huber Heights, Ohio; four grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Fair of Blanco, Texas, Greg Fair of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Lincoln (Shirley) Robinson and Mrs. Jack (Marilyn) Haney, both of Piqua. He was preceded in death by a brother and a son.
Mr. Fair was an active member of the First United Church of Christ while currently serving as a trustee of the church. He was a graduate of Piqua Central High School in 1957, was active in the Piqua Heritage Festival and the Miami County Genealogical Society. Mr. Fair was employed as a shop foreman at the French Oil Mill Machinery Co. where he worked since 1958.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 18, 1995, at 11 a.m. in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen J. Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the First United Church of Christ or the Miami County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
