The byline was missing from a story Tuesday about the abortion
pill and a Planned Parenthood clinic in Des Moines, Iowa. The story,
on pages A1 and A8, was written by Associated Press writer Roger
Munns.
Steve Allosso's name was misspelled in a Business Weekly story
Monday. He is general sales manager of Electronic Systems Inc.,
Virginia Beach.
The flicker woodpecker is protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty
Act passed by the U.S. Congress in 1918. That act prohibits hunting
the birds without special regulations, and allows the Fish and
Wildlife Service to issue special-use permits for bird depredation.
A story Friday said the birds were a threatened species protected by
the Endangered Species Act.
