TALK-SHOW FANS SPAN SPECTRUM

It's amazing to watch the liberals, from Bill Clinton to our very own Guy Friddell, blame conservative talk-show hosts for the recent tragedy in Oklahoma City by implying that the listeners were influenced by ``conservative talk.''

If a regular listener to Rush Limbaugh or Gordon Liddy were to have the following credentials: an honest, successful businessman, a self-made success story, a churchgoing or synagogue-attending family man, a devoted husband, a loving father, a community leader, a contributor of both time and money to charitable causes, a Big Brother, a church deacon or minister, an educator, a volunteer fireman or rescue worker, would Mr. Clinton or Mr. Friddell be so eager to point to those individuals and cite them as conservative talk listeners and give Limbaugh or Liddy credit for their successful lifestyle?

Of course they wouldn't, mainly because talk-show hosts (liberal or conservative) are not responsible for anyone's lifestyle be it good or bad.

Mr. Friddell should read the above characteristics again and recognize that more listeners to conservative talk radio belong on that list than he might care to admit.
