Lloyd Goodwin Jordan Sr., 83, of the 9600 block of Chesapeake Blvd., a retired foreman, died May 17, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Jordan was born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 43 years. He was a past member of Ocean View Democratic Club. He was a graduate of Cradock High School in 1928. He moved to Norfolk as a child and had also lived in the Cradock area.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Roberts Jordan; two sons, Lloyd G. Jordan Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kenny Jordan of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Lisa Gifford Snyder of Norfolk and Jennifer Saul of Jacksonville, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Kristy and Zachary Snyder of Norfolk; and two nieces.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
