Sadie Mae Smith Morris, 92, of the 100 block of Virginia Beach, died Wednesday, May 17, 1995, at her residence.
A native of Chowan County, Mrs. Morris was a daughter of the late John Newberry and Lydia Ward Smith and the wife of the late William Samuel Morris. Mrs. Morris was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of Edenton Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Evelyn S. Parker of Edenton; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Beaver Hill Cemetery by Dr. Kenneth Word and the Rev. James Hyatt. Evans Funeral Home of Edenton is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
