Carlton Murphy, 45, of the 12400 block of Anesworth Court, died May 13, 1995, in Gainesville V.A. Medical Center, Gainesville, Fla.
Mr. Murphy was born in Newark, N.J., and was a retired U.S. Navy chief petty officer (E-7) after 17 years of service. He was a member and usher of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville. He was a Mason, Shriner, assistant Boy Scout leader and a member of the Florida Golf Association.
Survivors include his wife, Julie D. Murphy; a daughter, Tiffany Murphy and a son, Carlton Murphy, both of Jacksonville; his mother, Shirley Bond and father, Robert Bond, both of New York; two sisters, Cassandra Bond and Pamela Simpson and two brothers, Alex Bond and Robert Bond Sr., all of New York; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, Va., by Chaplain Charles Carter. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake, Va., with military honors. Viewing at the funeral home will be private. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Mary Davis, 1312 S. Carrington Crescent, Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
