Viola Powell, of the 6400 block of Devonshire Road, a retired dietitian, died May 12, 1995, in a local hospital.
She was born in Caroline County, Va., and was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include two daughters, Clarice Morgan of Norfolk and Ann Anderson of Brooklyn, N.Y.: nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Henry Morgan and Algie Anderson.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. John C. Smith. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at 9:30 a.m. Family and friends will assemble at the residence at 10 a.m. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
