Governor Allen's appointee H. Kirby Burch tarnished the reputation of all hunters in his actions at False Cape State Park. He brought to light the biggest problem with ``avid'' hunters: Kill game at all costs, be it legal or illegal; makes no difference. That leaves the hunter who abides by the laws painted with the same brush as poachers!
The governor should take a look at this appointment in light of the damage done to the Commonwealth Conservation and Recreation directorship. If he can make such a poor decision in this matter, what other decisions will he make that will jeopardize our future?
There must be balance between conservation, recreation and development. But they must be taken as a whole, not one over the other.
