Cary Vaughn Hall Jr., 73, of Richmond, widower of Theresa Tucker Hall died, Tuesday, May 16, 1995, following a long illness. Native of Patrick County and raised in Roanoke, Va., he attended Georgia Military College and Roanoke College and was a veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was President and Chairman of Solid Waste Equipment Company of Virginia, Inc.
Mr. Hall was a member of Boulevard Methodist Church, Charter and Senior member of the Richmond Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers and active in the Environment Industry and member of State Wide Association.
Survivors include one son, Cary V. Hall III, a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa H. (Carthe) and Deane Maury, all of Richmond; a brother, B.B. Hall and wife Nathalie, sister, Caroline H. Kemp and husband Wilson E. Kemp of Columbus, Ga.; four grandchildren, D. Blair Maury and wife Kim L. Maury of Williamsburg, Va., Anne Fontaine Maury, Philip P. and Marshall M. Hall; one great-grandson, Gregory A. Maury; sister-in-law, Helen T. Whitescaver of Roanoke; brother-in-law, Emmett E. Tucker Jr. of Roanoke; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James H. and Kathleen S. Tucker of Winston-Salem, N.C.
The family received friends 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave. where services will be conducted 12 noon today. Interment will be in Dale Memorial Park. Floral offerings are appreciated or contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or your local rescue squad.
