Mildred H. Roberson, 82, a retired registered nurse, died May 18, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Roberson was born in Sellers, S.C., and was retired from the Public Health Service after 20 years. She was the widow of H. Otis Roberson and was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer at Chesapeake General Hospital for over 3,000 hours.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley R. Buxton of Virginia Beach and Bitsy Hallman of Norfolk; two sisters, Hallie Jones of New Jersey and Annie Merle of Deaton, N.C.; a brother, Wilson Hubbard of New Jersey; three grandchildren, Bill Hallman of Chesapeake, Cherish Hallman of South Carolina and Heather Lawrence of Virginia Beach; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Gene Larkin. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to the American Heart Association.
