Jessie Clark Sykes, 90, of the 1000 block of Erie St., died May 17, 1995.
Mrs. Sykes was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., and was the widow of Oscar Lee Sykes. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Norfolk and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a retired manager of the Monticello Hotel and was the original manager of The Coffee Shop at Sears, Roebuck & Company, 21st Street, Norfolk.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Dolores Fleischer of Chesapeake and Patricia Fountain of Savannah, Ga.; a stepson, Steven H. Sykes of Norfolk; three sisters, Mabel Williams, Lottie Hux and Ileen Keley, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Roy Ashley of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today in Riverside Memorial Park by Pastor Tom Becker. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from noon to 12:50 p.m. today, and at the residence at all other times.
