LEROY D. FLETCHER

Leroy Douglas Fletcher, a former resident of Suffolk and Wakefield, died on December 15, 1994, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born in Bloxom, Va., and was a member of the class of 1923 at the Virginia Military Institute. He retired from the State Highway Commission of Virginia after 42 years of service. He was a member of Old Dominion Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his sister, Miriam Fletcher Andrews; and two step-daughters, Jacqueline M. Hamilton of Richmond and Diane M. Macrae of St. Louis, Mo.

Memorial services will be held at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Saturday, May 20, 1995, at 2 p.m.
