Tabb is the Peninsula District representative in the Eastern
Region girls soccer tournament. It is the only Peninsula District
school that plays girls soccer and as such did not win a district
championship. A story Friday identified Tabb as the Eastern District
champion. Tabb will play Great Bridge at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the
Eastern Region tournament.
Granby is the Eastern District girls soccer champion. A story
Friday identified Granby as the Eastern Region champion. The Comets
will play Western Branch at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the first round of
the Eastern Region tournament. Great Bridge's Jennifer Hilborn
was incorrectly identified in a photo in Friday's paper.
A headline in Friday's sports section misspelled the name of new
UNC-Greensboro head basketball coach Randy Peele.
