STANLEY E. MASON JR.

Stanley E. ``Butch'' Mason, Jr. went to be with his savior after a lengthy illness on May 19, 1995.

He was survived by his mother, Mattie E. Mason of Chesapeake, VA and preceded in death by his father, Stanley E. Mason Sr. Survivors include 2 sons, Mark S. Mason and Andrew L. Mason, both of Gloucester, Va., 2 sisters, Mary E. Mason Blake of Va. Beach, and Debra D. Mason Cooksey of Chesapeake, 1 brother, William R. ``Ronnie'' Mason of Va. Beach, 1 special daughter-in-law Susan Mason of Gloucester, Va., 2 special brothers-in-law, Patrick L. Blake Sr. of Va. Beach, and William Cooksey of Chesapeake, 1 special sister-in-law, Florence ``Corkey'' Mason of Va. Beach, 3 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Born an American by chance, a Southerner by the Grace of God.

The family will accept friends at the home of Mrs. Mason on Monday, May 22 anytime after 10 a.m. There will be a funeral service at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, Tuesday, May 23, 1995, at 10 a.m. There will be a graveside service at Nahalah Presbyterian Church Cemetery Tuesday, May 23, 1995, at 2 p.m. following the service at the Indian River Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 8 to 9 p.m.
