BODY OF MAN MISSING SINCE WEDNESDAY IS FOUND IN RIVER

A Pasquotank County man reported missing when he did not show up for work on Wednesday was found dead in the Little River in Perquimans County on Friday, Elizabeth City police said.

The body of Casper Williams, about 60, was found not far from where his car was located on Ferry Road, said Lt. G.F. Koch of the Elizabeth City Police Department. Police did not have an address or other details.

An autopsy was scheduled for today. Elizabeth City Police, the Perquimans County Sheriff's Department and the State Bureau of Investigation were investigating the incident as a homicide, Koch said.
