Christine Carter Dickerson, 71, of the 34000 block of Lees Mills Road, died Friday, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.
A native of Southampton County, she was the daughter of the late Welsh and Lizzie Carter and the wife of the late James Lloyd Dickerson Jr. She was a housewife and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and the Ladies Chorus for 25 years.
Survivors are one daughter, Marcia Dickerson of Suffolk; two sons, Edward L. Dickerson of Franklin and Kenny Dickerson of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Piney Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Clarence Myrick. Burial will be in the Southview Cemetery. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home in charge.
