LANDERS DICKENS JR.

Landers ``D.K.'' Dickens Jr., of the 700 block of Bold St., died May 18, 1995, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk.

Mr. Dickens was born in Tarboro, N.C. He was a retired B Operator with Hoechst Celanese Corporation after 25 years. He was a member of New First Baptist Church Taylorsville. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Dickens of Portsmouth; a son, Darnell Dickens of Portsmouth; a brother, James E. Dickens of Suffolk; a grandchild, Shuane A. Dickens of Portsmouth; two aunts; one nephew; cousins; in-laws and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in New First Baptist Church Taylorsville by the Rev. T.M. Steele. Burial with military honors will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at noon Thursday.
