Frank B. Costen, 73, of 2469 Hemlock St., went to be with the Lord on May 20, 1995. He was born in South Norfolk and was the son of the late Clyde and Annie Costen. He was in happy fellowship at the Gospel Hall on Laurel Ave., Chesapeake, and was a faithful servant of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He was retired from Naval Public Works Center, NOB as a planner and estimator supervisor. He served his country in WWII.
Survivors who will greatly miss him include his beloved wife of 53 years, Doris Rowland Costen; two daughters, Carolyn Williams and her husband, Willie of Suffolk and Deborah Anderson and her husband Gary of Westpoint; and one son, Frank Stephen Costen and his wife, Mary of Lenior City, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Chris, Kim, and Greg Williams and Adam, Jacob, John and Christy Anderson; two sisters, Virginia McCready of Lusby, Md. and Julia Parker of Chesapeake; two brothers, Robert Costen and Richard Costen, both of Chesapeake as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
A funeral will be conducted at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Brother Robert Costen and William Ford on Tuesday, May 23, 1995 at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, May 22, 1995 from 7 to 9 p.m. and at other times in the home.
