MACK MORRISETTE JR.

Mack Garrett Morrisette Jr., 76, of 177 Highway 158 W. Camden, died in Albemarle Hospital on Sunday, May 21, 1995.

Born in Pasquotank County, N.C., he was retired owner and manager of Morrisette Furniture Co. from 1945 to 1992 when he closed it due to ill health. The store had been founded by his father in 1916. Mr. Morrisette was a former Camden Co. Fire Commissioner and a volunteer fireman for the Camden County Fire Department. He was a member of Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church and the Improved Order of Red Men, Tribe (NU)8, Elizabeth City, and had attended Strayer-Bryant-Stratton Business College, Baltimore, Md.

Mr. Morrisette was the son of the late M.G. Morrisette Sr. and Susan Parsons Morrisette and the widower of Linda Upton Morrisette.

He is survived by two sisters, Edna Shannonhouse and Maxine Sweeney, both of Elizabeth City, N.C., and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 1995, at 11 a.m. at Old Hollywood Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Church St., Elizabeth City.
