John F. Garrow Jr., 76, died Saturday morning, May 20, 1995.
Born in Danville, Pa., he was a World War II Army veteran, retired from the General Services Administration and was a member of Miles Memorial Church in Norfolk. During his years in Norfolk he organized and directed the well known Happy Dutchmen Band.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. Garrow; a daughter, Cynthia Louise Horton; a stepson, Ken Suddith; a stepgrandson, Matthew Suddith, both of Chesapeake; and three sisters, Mrs. Frank H. (Ruth) Weller, Mrs. G. Eugene (Dolly) Krum and Mrs. William (Beatrice) Umstead, all of Bloomsburg, Pa.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 23, at Robinson Funeral Home, Appomattox, Va. The family suggests that those wishing to make memorials consider the American Cancer Society.
