Katherine Luke Kennedy, 83, died May 22, 1995, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
A native of Suffolk, she was a daughter of the late Emmett Carson and Lessie Duke Luke and the widow of Paul August Kennedy Jr. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church. Mrs. Kennedy was a longtime resident of Waynesboro, where she was active in volunteer work at the hospital.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Kay B. Goldberg of Chesapeake and Kathy B. Knack of Norfolk.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Forrest Guthrie. The family will be at the home of J.B. Barnes, 914 Maryland Ave., Suffolk. Memorial donations may be made to Suffolk Christian Church, 26 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
