Glenda T. Scripture, of Virginia Beach, died May 20, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Scripture was born in Iredell County, N.C., and was a teacher for the Virginia Beach School System for 15 years. She was a member of Wycliffe Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach.
Survivors include husband, Bill Scripture of El Paso, Texas; one daughter, Monica Scripture of Virginia Beach; one son, Jason W. Scripture of Virginia Beach; mother, Sarah Thompson of Troutman, N.C.; two sisters, Sidale Robinson of Charlotte, N.C., and Janet Davidson of Mooresville, N.C.; and two brothers, Wayne and Tommy Thompson, both of Troutman, N.C.
A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, May 24, 1995, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. William Shelton in Wycliffe Presbyterian Church. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
