KATIE B. BILLUPS

Katie Bell Billups of the 200 block of Fernwood Farms Road, a homemaker, died May 20, 1995, in her residence.

Mrs. Billups was born in Smithfield, Va. She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church, Susie Hawkins Floral Club, Senior Citizens and the Missionary Circle.

Survivors include four daughters Ruth E. Wilson of Belle Flower, Calif., Velma S. Hightower of Vauxhall, N.J., Katie B. Billups and Melvina E. Billups, both of Chesapeake; six sons, Samuel Billups and Vernon Billups, both of Virginia Beach, Johnnie Billups of Union, N.J., Alfred Billups of Norfolk, Lawrence Billups of Springfield, Va., and Melvin Billups of Warner-Robbins, Ga.; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in New Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Gilbert C. Campbell. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing Wednesday at 3 p.m. and will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Thursday. The family will assemble at the residence for the processional at 11 a.m. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
