Bessie Mae Keeney, 74, of 511 Red School Lane, Phillipsburg, N.J., formerly of Virginia Beach, and a former member of Foundry United Methodist Church, died Sunday, May 21, 1995, at Easton Hospital, Easton, Pa.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, her life serves as a noteworthy example of honor, duty, compassion and dignity.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Henry R. Keeney of Phillipsburg, N.J., and by two sons, David L. Keeney of Phillipsburg, N.J., and William E. Perkins, Jr. of Williamsburg, Va. There are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren surviving.
Mrs. Keeney was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 1995, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond, Va. The Rev. Robert Moore, former Pastor of Welborne United Methodist Church, will conduct the service.
