MAX UNGAR

Max Ungar, 86, of the 5500 block of Carolanne Terrace, died May 23, 1995, in a local hospital.

Mr. Ungar, a native of Norfolk, was the widower of Martha C. Ungar. He was the former co-owner of Fairmount Pharmacy in Norfolk. He was a member of Temple Israel in Norfolk. He was a 50-year member of the Pythians and a member of the Brith Sholom Center. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara U. Krampf and her husband, Joseph, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sons, Phillip Ungar and his wife, Pam, of Bridgewater, Va., and Myron Ungar of Christiansburg, Va.; a brother, William Ungar of Virginia Beach; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Michael E. Panitz and Cantor Isaac Danker. Memorial donations may be made to the Jewish Family Services of Tidewater, 7300 Newport Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23505 H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. The family will be at the home of Beth and Barry Dorsk, 4613 Player Lane in Virginia Beach.
