Alfred Thomas Garrett, 76, of 298 Lewis Roberts Road, died May 18, 1995.
He was a World War II veteran paratrooper. He was born in New Bern, N.C., and had previously lived in Chesapeake, Va., and Gates County, N.C.
Survivors include his wife, Louise S. Garrett; a son, Donald Thomas Garrett of Gatesville, N.C.; two daughters, Joan G. Lilley Hudgins of New Point, Va., and Anne Garrett Morris of Hatteras, N.C.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four stepchildren and stepgrandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth G. Bordeleaux of Daphne, Ala.
A funeral service was held at Ivie Funeral Chapel May 21, 1995 at 2 p.m.
