Velma Joe Napier, 57, of the 700 block of Harris Point Drive, died May 20, 1995, in Durham, N.C.
Mrs. Napier was born in Yoakum County, Texas, and was a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church of Virginia Beach.
Survivors include her husband, Freddie Napier of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Melissa Lynn Richmond of Virginia Beach; two sons, Freddie Teryl Napier of Franklin, Va., and Timothy Joearl Napier of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Christine Roberts and Billie S. Lemmons, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, J.B. Wilson of Pearsall, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday, May 25, 1995, at 11 a.m. by Dr. Lawrence Harper in Thalia Lynn Baptist Church. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
