A 51-year-old woman was killed and two other people were seriously injured in a two-car accident early Tuesday night.
Both injured people were flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Tammy Van Dame, spokeswoman for the Virginia State Police, said the accident occurred on Route 33 just west of Route 625 in Middlesex County. The vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when they hit each other.
The passenger in the Chevrolet died at the scene. The victims' names were not available Tuesday.
