CLAUDIUS ELMO LANG JR.

Claudius Elmo Lang Jr., 71, of the 200 block of Toy Ave., died May 23, 1995, in DePaul Hospital in Norfolk.

Mr. Lang was born in Gatesville, N.C., and was retired as a civil service employee after 33 years. He was a member of Kemspville Baptist Church. Mr. Lang was a U.S. Army disabled veteran of World War II, and was instrumental in starting Chapter 20, D.A.V., Virginia Beach, where he also served as past chapter commander, and was the past department commander of Virginia and past member of the Trench Rats (NU)185.

Survivors include his wife, Andree' O. Lang; three daughters, Goldie M. Franklin of Virginia Beach, Deborah Saadah of Italy and Patricia Ann Gurganus of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters; three brothers; and his grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted Saturday, May 27, 1995 at 11 a.m. in Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall/Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Michael Turner. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where a D.A.V. ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m.
