William Hillebrand Jones, 74, of the 7600 block of Martone Road, a retired bus driver, died May 23, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Jones was born in Lincoln County, N.C. He was retired from Greyhound Bus Co. after 34 years and was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church. Mr. Jones was a loving and caring husband and father. He grew the best home-grown tomatoes in town.
Survivors include his wife, Betty L. Jones; three daughters, Patricia Marzigliano of Hopewell, Elizabeth Kelly of Norfolk and Cynthia Justice of Virginia Beach; two sons, William H. Jones Jr. and Charles Jones, both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Virginia Hayes of Smithfield, Va.; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Dr. Bob DeWitt. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
