Melvin Lorray Cheshire Jr., 68, of the 3400 block of Modlin Court, a retired mechanical engineer, died May 22, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Cheshire was born in Norfolk and was retired from the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a Presbyterian. He was a member of Corinthian Masonic Lodge (NU)266 and Scottish Rite Bodies. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Lois H. Cheshire; a daughter, Karen Cheshire Lumpkin of Virginia Beach; two sons, Melvin L. ``Sonny'' Cheshire III and Wayne H. Cheshire, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Mary Wilkerson of Georgia and Dorothy McClain of South Carolina; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Vernon Murray. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park.
