Earnest Cabell Bryant Sr., 90, of Tait Terrace, died May 23, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Bryant was born in Shipman, Va., Nelson County, very close to Walton's Mountain. He was the widower of Mary Louise L. Bryant and was a member of First United Methodist Church and Methodist Men's Fellowship. He was retired from Chrysler Automotive Corp. and from Cradock Terry Shoe Corp.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ann Bryant and Eddie D. Hall of Virginia Beach; a son and daughter-in-law, Ernie C. and Pat W. Bryant Jr. of Virginia Beach; six brothers and sisters, DuVal Bryant, Preston Dawson, Julian Bryant, Elizabeth Bavota, Macy Eliot and Evelyn Nelson; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Stuart Bryant, Richard Wesley Bryant, John Christopher Bryant, William Bryant Madison and Elizabeth Ames Madison.
A funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Norfolk SPCA.
