Mr. Durell Phillip Fenwick, age 64, of 1090 Cedar Pt. Circle, Elizabeth City died Wednesday, May 24, at Albemarle Hospital. He was a native of Jackson, Michigan, and had retired from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture in the Forestry Dept. He was a Lutheran and a veteran, having served in the U.S Air Force.
Mr. Fenwick was the son of the late Herbert Sydney and Charlotte Ruth Pilgrim Fenwick and the husband of Dawn Dominie Fenwick.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Leslie Dawn Gilbert of Kitty Hawk, N.C., and two sons, Scott Phillip Fenwick of Harbinger, N.C., and William F. Fenwick of Littleton, Colo.; two sisters, Jeanne Townley of Seaford, Va., and Betty Williams of Hampton, Va.; two grandchildren, Michael Scott Fenwick and William Gilbert. He was predeceased by a son, Kurt Eric Fenwick.
There will be a private service at a later date. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., is in charge of arrangements.
