NATHANIEL J. CANNON

Nathaniel (Nathan) J. Cannon, 50, of the 6900 block of W. Fayetteville Road, died May 23, 1995 in West Paces Ferry Hospital, Atlanta, Ga.

Mr. Cannon was born in Carrollton, Va. He was an accountant for the Georgia State Department of Revenue for 20 years and an Army veteran of Vietnam.

Survivors include a son, Neil Cannon of Portsmouth; a brother, Otis C. Cannon, Jr. of Chesapeake; one aunt, Jessie Brehon; one uncle, Roland Johnson; one niece; cousins; one sister-in-law; and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. William S. Hampton. Burial will be in Gilfield Baptist Church Cemetery, Ivor, Va., with military honors. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. The family will be at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Otis C. Cannon, Jr., 3009 King Richard Way, Chesapeake, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
