Malinda Elizabeth Ward Weaver, 94, died May 23, 1995, in Gainesville, Fla.
Mrs. Weaver was a native of Watauga County, N.C., and a long-time resident of Perry, Fla., living in Dowling Park, Fla., since 1983. She had been a schoolteacher in North Carolina, a member of First Baptist Church in Perry, Fla., and the Women's Missionary Union of Perry and was a former member of Perry Woman's Club. She was the widow of Thomas Asbury Weaver.
Survivors include three daughters, Faye W. Bolick of Taylorville, N.C., Anna W. Herrington of Perry, Fla., and Dorthea W. Cannon of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Marshall Ward of Banner Elk, N.C.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Rebecca Harmon Ward and William Ward.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Pastor Herb Holton. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday in Perry, Fla.
