Claudia Mae Smith Barrett, 81, died May 21, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was born in Bessemer, Ala., and was the widow of Carl T. Barrett.
Survivors include a sister, Jean Mann of Richardson, Texas; a grandson, Lee Christopher DeWitt of Suffolk; and a cousin, Ann Piper Carpenter of Birmingham, Ala.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11, in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Diane Snowa. A reception will follow the memorial service at the home of the deceased. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Claudia M. Barrett Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 7332, Suffolk, Va. 23437.
