Frances Jenkins Brown, 82, a retired nurse companion, died May 23, 1995, in Chesapeake.
Mrs. Brown was born in Bethel, N.C. She was a member of Alexander Baptist Church and was the widow of John T. Brown.
Survivors include a son, Benjamin Brown and daughter-in-law Iris Brown of Chesapeake; three grandchildren, Samuel J. Brown of Warner-Robbins, Ga., Deborah B. Darnell of Chesapeake and Jennifer B. Gwaltney of Virginia Beach; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, by the Rev. Alan Moor. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers memorial donations my be made to Alzheimer's & Related Disorders, (NU)20 Koger Center, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
