Juanita Holmes Gore, 83, of the 7000 block of Suburban Arch, a retired clerk, died May 25, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Gore was born in Wake Forest, N.C., and was retired from the Naval Base. She was a faithful and longtime member of Norview Baptist Church. Mrs. Gore was a loving and caring person to all family members.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth G. Loeb and Shirley G. Perry, both of Norfolk, and Joan G. Wray of Dallas, Texas; a son, Gene L. Gore of Alpharetta, Ga.; a sister, Pauline Jernigan of Chesapeake; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-granchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Velma Joyce Gore, a sister, Virginia Wallace and a brother, Sherlock Holmes.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Norview Baptist Church by the Rev. James Bradshaw. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, and other times at 516 Roland Drive, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to Norview Music Ministry, Norview Baptist Church.
