Margaret Patricia ``Patty'' Kuchem, 66, of Virginia Beach, died Wednesday, May 24, 1995, at her residence.
A 25-year Virginia Beach resident, as an active member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, she was one of the original volunteers in the Meals on Wheels Program. She was also on the founding committee for the M.E. Cox Senior Center.
Mrs. Kuchem was born in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of the late Kathaleen and Charles Lonergan. She was predeceased by her sister, Jeanne Lonergan.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William E. Kuchem; a daughter, Kathaleen A. Karnes of Fairfax, Va.; four sons, Kevin E. and John W. Kuchem, both of Virginia Beach, Daniel S. Kuchem of Fairfax, Va., and Joseph P. Kuchem of Rockville, Md.; one sister, Marilyn Greene of Kansas City; and four grandchildren, Kimberly and Chad Kuchem of Virginia Beach, Erin Karnes of Fairfax and John Kuchem of Rockville.
A viewing will be conducted at St. Nicholas Church at 6 p.m. Friday, May 26, with a funeral Mass commencing at 7:30 p.m. by the Rev. Father James Noto. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at Princess Anne Memorial Park, Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
