JAMES H. MARTIN

James Henry Martin, 71, formerly of the Hattonsville section of Norfolk County, died May 18, 1995, in Maryview Hospital.

Mr. Martin was born in Norfolk County and was a retired seaman from the National Maritime Union. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include a sister, Eleanor L. Harris of Chesapeake; three nieces, Eleanor Martin of New York City, Alma H. Parker of Portsmouth and Mildred Sears of Hampton; three nephews, Deputy Roland A. Harris and Michael Harris, both of Chesapeake, and Lark Harris of Aspen, Colo.; seven great-nieces; seven great-nephews; two great-great-nieces; five great-great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. F. Randolph Williams. The body will be cremated after the service. Viewing will begin today at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, where family and friends will assemble at 1:30 p.m. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
