All Saints' Episcopal Church, a congregation forming to serve the northern Outer Banks, invites residents and visitors to its first service on Sunday at 8 a.m. in the cafeteria of Kitty Hawk Elementary School.
A service of Holy Eucharist will be celebrated each Sunday at 8 a.m. at the school. The early Sunday morning Episcopal service previously held during the summer at Duck United Methodist Church has been canceled.
By fall, an Episcopal Sunday school program is expected to be running at the school.
The Right Rev. B. Sidney Sanders, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina, has approved the establishment of the parish as well as its name: All Saints'. Initially, All Saints' will work to become a mission of the Diocese of East Carolina.
During this period, it will be supported by St. Andrew's by the Sea Episcopal Church in Nags Head. St. Andrew's Rev. Charles E.B. Gill will be the spiritual leader for All Saints' during its formative stages.
The Episcopal Church welcomes everyone to share in the worship and development of All Saints' Church.
