George Oliver Epperson Sr., of the 900 block of E. Princess Anne Road, a retired mechanic, died May 24, 1995, in a local health care center.
Mr. Epperson was born in Halifax, Va. and was retired from the Naval Base. He was the widower of Roland Epperson. He was a member of New Mount Zion Church of God Holiness.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Cole and Carolyn Spencer; two sons, Donald Epperson and George Epperson; two sisters, Mamie Word and Esther Mitchell; a brother, Jack Lloyd Epperson; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in New Mount Zion Church of God Holiness by the Rev. J.D. Burrus. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may join the family at 826 Marshall Ave. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
