Note to readers: In some editions of the Friday newspaper, production problems affected the typeface and photos on the front page, MetroNews front, and Sports and Preview sections.

Country singer John Berry will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday at Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base's Planet Beach Club. Tickets are $10 in advance at Ticketmaster, $12 at the door. A story about Berry on the Preview cover Friday had some information missing.

The new shekel was created in Israel in 1985. A front-page story Friday about toll tokens on the Virginia Beach/Norfolk Expressway incorrectly implied the currency was no longer in use.

A bar graph accompanying a MetroNews story Friday about the cruising ordinance at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront indicated 409 cruising summonses were issued between April 15 and 21. It should have been between April 15 and May 21. The same graph incorrectly reported no cruising is allowed between 2 p.m. and 2 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue. In fact, it is from 2 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Former Corrections Department Director Edward Murray was not at Greensville Correctional Center Thursday in the hours before Willie Lloyd Turner's execution, as reported Friday. The official was E.C. Morris, deputy director of the department. by CNB
